Adjunct Lecturer
Teaches dynamic Earth processes to undergraduate students, designs lectures and assignments, applies active learning techniques, mentors students, and coordinates with faculty members.
Academic Portfolio
I work at the intersection of environmental science, sustainability, climate resilience, GIS, soil research, and community-centered environmental action.
About
I am an Earth and Environmental Sciences educator and researcher based in Queens, New York. I hold a Master of Arts in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Brooklyn College, CUNY, and a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from the University of Chittagong.
My academic and professional work connects environmental science, sustainability, GIS, soil research, forestry, climate resilience, environmental field inspection, and community engagement. As an Adjunct Lecturer at Brooklyn College, I teache undergraduate students about dynamic Earth processes while designing lectures, assignments, interactive labs, and real-world learning activities.
Experiences
Teaches dynamic Earth processes to undergraduate students, designs lectures and assignments, applies active learning techniques, mentors students, and coordinates with faculty members.
Supported environmental compliance, monitored sustainability KPIs, analyzed environmental data, maintained reporting records, and helped align environmental and financial goals.
Conducted environmental risk site visits, reviewed PPE and safety materials, supported asbestos exposure hazard reporting, and prepared stakeholder-facing documents.
Analyzed metadata and scientific literature on seafood processing recovery rates to support sustainable seafood processing and waste management research.
Worked on soil profile analysis, climate-resilient community schemes, village-level disaster risk reduction planning, native tree seed collection, and biodiversity preservation.
Projects
Learning activities connecting GIS, environmental science, climate resilience, mapping, and real-world case studies.
Metadata analysis and literature review on seafood product recovery rates to support sustainable waste management practices.
Soil sample collection and analysis focused on soil properties, nutrient content, pH levels, and land management.
Survey reporting and village-level DRR planning to support vulnerable communities and improve disaster resilience.
Seed collection, pre-sowing treatment, seedling production, and preservation of native threatened tree species.
Publications
Research focused on environmental sustainability, climate policy, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, finance, carbon emissions, and urban sustainability.
